Maple is a genus of trees, also known as Acer. The genus includes around 128 species, most of which are native to Asia. Maple grows tall, 10 to 45 m (30 to 145 ft) tall. The tree is distinguished by the opposite arrangement of the leaves, while its flowers can be green, yellow, orange or red. This beautiful tree is often planted as an ornamental tree, but it also has strong cultural significance around the world. Maple is a symbol of strength and endurance, it is represented on the Canadian flag and on the coat of arms of Canada.
