Gabrielle, the new olfactory legend of Chanel
The house of Chanel is considered by many to be one of the most prestigious brands in the world. Its longevity is exemplary, its know-how is unmatched and the quality of its products is recognized all over the planet. Thus, each of his new creations is always eagerly awaited. Well, in this year 2017, Chanel has just decided to give us a brand new perfume. This one is a tribute to the creator of this brand and is called Gabrielle . The bet was daring… Does this perfume really live up to the notoriety of Coco Chanel? We give you our opinion!
The complex and masterfully orchestrated essence of Gabrielle
First of all, let’s start by highlighting the extraordinary work carried out by Olivier Polge, official perfumer of Chanel, to make this perfume. Here, he chose to give us a feminine scent, at the same time floral, solar and luminous. In his own words, he “likes to think that women are going to make something very personal out of it.” Trying to stick as closely as possible to Gabrielle Chanel’s personality, he crafted a romantic perfume, not devoid of temperament and daring. Gabrielle opens with a fruity scent of mandarin, grapefruit and currant. Her heart, meanwhile, is much more floral and feminine. It combines the creamy breath of tuberose with the exoticism of ylang-ylang, the opulence of jasmine and the Mediterranean luminosity of orange blossom. Gabrielle is then enveloped in a milky breeze of sandalwood. The musk then sublimates all of its animal and carnal scent.
Gabrielle CHANEL an authentic and modern bottle
In addition to the excessively seductive scent of this new perfume, it should be noted that it is curled up in an absolutely fascinating bottle . Chanel has succeeded through it in combining its history and contemporary trends. Gabrielle integrates a bottle with a shape very similar to that of the emblematic Chanel N ° 5. Devoid of any extravagance, this bottle is cut in a sober and straight square, with clear cut angles. The whole is topped with a mat cap for more modernity. Its fine glass, for its part, reflects the light of day in a golden juice perfectly echoing the luminous fragrance contained in this bottle.
Kristen Stewart, perfect as Gabrielle Chanel
Finally, note that the Gabrielle perfume should be accompanied by absolutely splendid advertising. If the images of this campaign have not yet been released, we already know that Gabrielle will be played by Kristen Stewart, the brand’s muse for several years now. The actress was then directed by the British director Ringan Ledwidge and the photographer Karim Sadli in a place belonging to Gabrielle Chanel’s childhood: the Aubazine abbey in Corrèze. Much more than a simple perfume, Gabrielle takes on the air of historical testimony.
